Job Title: Casual Senior Animal Attendant
About Us:
EP Dogz Boarding Kennels is a local dog kennel dedicated to providing exceptional care and comfort for dogs and cats of all breeds. Our facility offers a safe and stimulating environment where family pets can feel comfortable away from home. We are Port Lincoln’s only boarding and day-care kennel, servicing the Eyre Peninsula.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Casual Senior Animal Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the daily care and well-being of our canine & feline guests, ensuring they receive the highest level of attention and care during their stay.
Responsibilities:

Provide daily care, including handling, feeding, and exercising the pets according to their individual needs.

Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kennel facilities, including play yards, and common areas.

Monitor all pets for any signs of illness or distress, and promptly report any concerns to the manager.

Interacting with guests and their families in a courteous and attentive manner, fostering positive relationships and ensuring satisfaction.

Interact with all pets in a positive and engaging manner, providing companionship and mental stimulation.

Ensuring strict adherence to Work, Health & Safety practices to maintain a safe and secure environment for all.

Upholding facility procedures to ensure smooth functioning and compliance with organisational standards.

Assist with administering medications or special dietary requirements as instructed by owners or veterinarians.

Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of all pets.
Successful Candidate Criteria:

Previous experience working with dogs and cats in a professional setting preferred.

Strong passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing excellent care.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with coworkers.

Physical stamina and ability to work in a fast pace environment.

Strong Work Ethic, Punctual, and Reliable: Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of work ethic.

Flexibility to work weekends and as needed.

Must have a Car License and reliable transport
